Joanne Ronalds
Clinical Psychologist
Joanne provides individual psychotherapy to adults over the age of 18. Joanne’s areas of interest include:
• Trauma (including PTSD and CPTSD)
• Anxiety and depression
• Interpersonal difficulties
Joanne focuses on therapy that deepens your understanding of the past and how it presents itself in the present. This reflection aims to identify unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour to promote growth and well being. She works with individuals seeking deeper self-understanding, with the aim of enhancing their relationships with themselves and others.
She draws on a variety of evidence-based approaches to facilitate change including:
• Schema Therapy
• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
• Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Attachment-based approaches
Before MyStory Psychology, Joanne worked across a range of public and private settings including Monash Health, Albert Road Clinic, Cabrini and SECASA.
Clinical Supervision
Joanne is also a Board Approved Supervisor and is available to provide supervision to early career psychologists and psychology registrars seeking endorsement.
